His dedicated efforts to bring about a revolution in preschool education in India have brought him innumerable awards. Dr. D. R. Arora has been a member of several international societies and has more than 40 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in reputed universities and institutions of India & Abroad.

Greatly involved in curriculum planning & development at SHEMROCK, she has written many books for preschool children. She has been a member of expert committees of N.C.E.R.T & U.N.D.P projects. For her contributions, especially in child education, she has won many prestigious awards & credits like the ‘Raja Ram Mohan Roy Teachers Award’ 2002, ‘Parent Teacher Association National Award’ 2002, ‘Peace, Mercy & Tolerance Award’ 2002, ‘Shakuntalam Award’ 2003, ‘Kiran Achievement Award’ 2003, ‘Sansa Award’ 2004, ‘National Award’ by Nayak Bharti in 2005, ‘National Women Excellence Award’ 2010 and the Nav Kiran Award.
