Notre Dame Academy, Pochmpalli, Krishnagiri is a Catholic Institution managed by the Sisters of Notre Dame and it is placed under the patronage of Mary, mother of Jesus. It began on June 1st, 2016 with its motto ‘EDUCATE TO TRANSFORM’.
Notre Dame Academy traces its origin to its, Spiritual Mother St. Julie Billiart (France), who founded the congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Her charismatic spirit of finding God’s goodness in everything was handed over to our own foundress, Sr. Maria Aloysia Wolbring who instituted the congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame, Coesfeld, Germany in 1850.
Urged by the charism of St. Julie and Sr. Maria Aloysia, Notre Dame has established foundations through out the world. The institution gives witness to God’s love by its involvement in various educational, social and medical services in various countries of the world.
Notre Dame Education is inspired by the Christian vision of the world according to the teachings of Jesus Christ presenting God as a loving Father and embracing all humankind as brothers and sisters.
