Comorin International School was founded by Mr. E. Lekshmanan in 2008. It is being promoted by the Thiyagi Elango Memorial Trust since 2006 which was named in honour of the founder‟s father, the late Thiru C. P. Elango.
Thiru C. P. Elango was born to Thiru Brahma Nayagam Pillai and Thirumathi Bagavathy Ammal on the 15th of June, 1915 in a tiny hamlet called Cherumadam in Kanniyakumari district. He grew up to become one of the very few freedom fighters from Kanniyakumari district.
He grew up in the British era making him strong-willed and his love for mother India stimulated him to actively part take in the fight against the British for India‟s independence which made him get acquainted with legends like Thiru Kamarajar, Kappalootiya Thamizhan and Shri.
