A visionary’s dream back in 1987 to provide the best education in English medium to the children of his village took the form of St Gregorios Central School which is now one of the best schools in the State. It is none other than Mr D George Kattootharayil, Founder and Manager, who dreamed big for his fellow human beings and made it fruitful.
Mr George had a fair share of struggles in his early life who became parentless at a very young age. Since the beginning, he was sure that without proper education he will not be able to come up in life. He started his career with a Government Job after completing his post-graduation.
Aimed to achieve big in his life, he was never satisfied with the 9 to 5 job. It was when it came to his daughter’s enrolment in a school, he realised there were no good English medium schools within his locality, Thazhava Village. There started his endeavour to set up an English Medium School for the students of his village, which was named after the great Saint Gregorios of Parumala. The journey still continues, spreading smiles on faces with the light of knowledge.
