Assam Rifles Public School (HS), Somsai was established on 3rd Jun 1971 as Primary school (Upto Class – V). The aim of the school is to impart quality education to children of serving as well as retired Assam Rifles personnel, with certain seats to civilians.
The medium of instruction is English
The school was upgraded up to Class-VIll in 1994 and later Class-IX & X in 2006 after getting affiliation from CBSE and thereby paving way to become one of the renowned educational institutes in Ukhrul District. The first batch of Class-X students of the school appeared in CBSE Board Exam in 2007.
Zonal Education Office, Ukhrul District selected our School for Class III students SEAS (State Educational Achievement Survey). Two officials from ZEO, Ukhrul, visited and conducted the survey on 03-11-23 in their respective class at school. Students of class III along with Math and English teachers of class III appeared in the said survey test. Our school ARPS, Somsai also submitted the achievement form as per given performance.
