Smt. Y V Indira Bai, a postgraduate in Physics from the University of Mysuru and a longtime resident of Jayanagar took voluntary retirement from her post as Reader in Physics at Yuvaraja College and founded Balodyana Education School. It was started as one of the first English School offering CBSE syllabus in Mysore city. The CITB (Now MUDA) allotted a CA site in the vicinity and a new building with commensurate infrastructure was built in 1994.
