BS Surgicare India, a state of the art healthcare services unit in Ooty was established in 2012 with a vision to provide high quality specialty healthcare services in the Nilgiris. True to its mission & vision, the unit has focused on providing accessible, affordable and patient centric Specialty & Super-specialty services.

Managed by a team headed by a forward-looking thinker and surgeon Dr.V.Balasubramaniam with over two decades of experience in laparoscopic and general surgery, BS Surgicare strives to maintain high ethical standards in providing modern care in a clean and comfortable environment. Started in 2012 at a leased unit as a centre to cater primarily to the surgical and maternity care needs of the Nilgiris, BS Surgicare has progressed over the past decade to provide need based specialty services to the community.

The new centre – “BS Hospital” at Race Course area opened in 2021 is meticulously designed as per the national accreditation quality norms to provide prompt and precise specialty care in a comforting ambience. The centre has a fully equipped Cath lab with the first and only full-fledged interventional Cardiology unit in the district. An advanced critical care unit with fully qualified intensivists and a community cancer care center round the clock is another first.
