The National Testing Agency is the conducting body of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a national-level examination. NEET is the sole entrance exam for admission into all medical colleges across the country, including AIIMS and JIPMER. Every candidate willing to pursue medical or paramedical courses shall mandatorily give the NEET Exam.

The candidate willing to give NEET should have completed 17 years as of December 31 of the same year. However, there’s no upper age limit. The candidate willing to give NEET should have completed Class 10+2 from a recognized board. However, students studying class 12 can also give the exam. There is no restriction on the total number of attempts for NEET. 1

In 2021, around 15,44,275 candidates took NEET, out of which 8,70,074 qualified.
