Minority Morarji Desai Residential School opened in 2004-05 under the KRIES Department, Government of Karnataka and it was separated from the KRIES Department to Minority Welfare Department during the year 2016-17. Now, the school is located in a very beautiful ever green 9 acres of land at Tegur, Chikkamagalur which is 5 km away from the KSRTC bust stand Chikkamagalur and the school has modern building ground and facilities that have flexibility of both open plan and regular style classroom.
All the school students participate in a comprehensive curriculum. Strong emphasis on developing social, emotional and behavior well being of all students. They jointly poster in pride in the school and healthy school spirit.
