Herfy Food Services Company was founded in 1981 by Mr. Ahmed Al-Saeed, after completing his postgraduate studies abroad and returning home with a vision for the future of fast food restaurants and the high demand for them in the world, and Mr. Hamoud Al-Ibrahim, General Manager of Panda United at the time. In the same year, the founders opened the first Herfy restaurant in Riyadh. The following year, Herfy Company established “Herfy Bakeries” driven by its desire to better control the quality of its products to develop Herfy Company.

In 1994, Panda’s share in Herfy Company was transferred to Kingdom Holding Company, led by His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, who gave the company the utmost attention.

In 1998, Al Azizia-Panda Company was merged with Savola Group, led by Eng. Adel Fakih at that time. Herfy Company became a partner and member of Savola Group.
