Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, formerly known as the University of Dammam, is a public university in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It is one of the oldest and leading universities in medicine in the country's Eastern Province.
The university was launched under its new name (Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University), carrying an academic and research legacy that extends to four decades; as some of its colleges received their first batch of students in 1395 AH (1975 AD) at the beginning of the university’s journey.
The College of Medicine, Medical Sciences, and the College of Architecture and Planning played a pioneering role in the field of postgraduate studies at the level of the Kingdom and the Gulf States. With the continued expansion in the number of colleges, and the joining of most colleges in the Eastern Province - Dammam, the number of colleges has reached 21, distributed over the largest geographical area in the Kingdom, with more than 45 thousand male and female students.
Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University is determined to develop and update its curricula and courses, and provide an academic environment to advance various fields of science and knowledge, and conduct purposeful scientific studies and research related to environmental and societal problems.
