Irshadiyya, is the leading academic and charitable organization established in 1992, formed for the educational, moral, social and economic upliftment of the society, especially the Muslim community. It is now working under Muslim Jama'ath Kolathur zone committee. Within a short span of twenty five years Irshadiyya achieved growth of a century and now it is the most important and reputed centre for education imparting both religious and modern education to the society. In its initial stage of establishment there was limited numbers of orphans destituted and deprived of love and caring .but the number of students rose so high during its various phase of development. Now it is an educational and institutional complex which afford 4000 students. Irshadiyya now operates more than 10 institutions including Da'wa colleges, English schools, woman's colleges, orphanages, Ahlussunna ideology, Madrasas, Masjids…..

This adobe of knowledge, started to propel the progress. In the year 1993 March 31, land for Irshadiya was registered which inspired the enthusiastic selfless activists who spend there whole life to the upliftment of the institution.

The foundation stone was laid by Honourable Kuruvambalam K S Unnakoya Thangal in the month of April 1993, in a grand convention. Shekhana Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musliyar also participated in the function.

While building the construction work getting progressed, Irshadiya orphanage, the second institution started in a temporary shed at the worksite.

The working path is broad and also the activities of Irshadiya. Activists industriously come up with enthusiasm that give a sudden pase to reach the goal. The rental and the temporary shed are replaced by our own building. That was really a good start for a great journey.

It was unfortunate that there is no mosque for students, teachers and local residents to pray. Learning, staying, praying, and other things are going on in limited amenities. This emotion evoke thoughts in activists.

We come to contact with Sheikh Kanthapuram ustad and took over the construction of the mosque. On April 18, 1996, Ustadul Asadeed OK Sainudheen Kutty musliyar laid the foundation of the mosque. On December 23, 1996, the Honorable Sayyid Ali Bakafi Thangal inaugurated the mosque. Thus, a long-term necessity of the activists and the neighborhood have been fulfilled. Alhamdulillah....

The expansion of mosque was very much required because of active presence of students and neighborhood residents. The mosque has been developed through expansion and Inaugurated on its tenth anniversary. Then a building was constructed on top of the mosque and there started a Jumua.

Day after day Irshadiya shift from progress to progress. One more level also built above the main building. In May 1997, the foundation stone for the construction of the second building laid by Sheikh Kanthapuram Ustad. A new building was also constructed and inaugurated in November 1997 for the canteen which was in a temporary shed till then Even though new buildings and facilities has been established, the number of students has been increased so that the facilities are inadequate. So, it was decided to build another more convenient building and SYS State Treasurer Panakkad Syed Hussain Shihab Thangal had laid the foundation stone for the new building with 10 class rooms on January 14, 2001.

Construction work has been done on a regular basis. Today Irshadiya have a very good number of buildings which we can feel proud. But because of the huge number of students, there is now some inadequacy of space is there.
