Kendriya Vidyalaya Border Security Force, Humhama, started in the temporary building provided by Border Security Force in November 2011. This temporary building was inaugurated by Mr. Baljeet Singh, Additional Inspector General, Border Security Force on July 21, 2011. This school started with enrollment of only 5 students, which has now reached 200.This school is located in the green environment of the Border Security Force Humahama complex which is near the Srinagar airport. The work of transferring 6 acres of land to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for the construction of a permanent building by the Border Security Force is in progress.
If we want to look the life in a wider perspective, and education in particular, we cannot ignore the ideologies: -

In all the Kerdirya Vidyalaya, students from different caste, creed, religion, colour, place, economic background and other inequalities, come together to learn and fulfil their dreams. Each and every student is provided opportunities to present his talent in scholastic and co-scholastic activities and rise to the occasion.
Today, we find that a number of our alumni, not only in India but also in abroad, have reached the height of their career and are fulfilling the dreams of these great thinkers. They have been instrumental in changing their lives and thousands of others.
