Kendriya Vidyalaya Samba J&K is 0.5 Km interior to National Highway NH-1-A. It is in Army Cantonment area. It is in the midst of lush green environment providing a tranquil and conducive atmosphere for study. Vidyalaya was established on 17th July 1979 in Defence Sector with 2 section each from classes I-V . Since then Vidyalaya has progressed continuously in almost all fields of education. The school has been running in temporary building since its inception. The land transfer case is in progress.
Our Children are the greatest asset of India, because they are full of energy, idealism, enthusiasm, hope, and adventurous spirit. True education is a training of both the head and the heart. We need to compete for knowledge and wisdom and not for grades. Strategically applied Knowledge translates into wisdom which in turn translates into success. One could have good grades and a degree and still not learn much. The most important thing one can learn is to “Learn to Learn”. People confuse education with the ability to memorize facts.

We don’t need more academic education we need more value based education. A person who is morally educated will be better equipped to move up in life and succeed than a morally bankrupt person with excellent academic qualification .KVS strives to provide value-based education to fulfill its objectives.
