Mike Seaton is an award-winning British educator who has led independent schools in the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Asia. In England, Mike was Headmaster at one of the leading independent schools in Yorkshire, achieving its first Sunday Times ranking for academic excellence, national media attention for curricular innovation and a ‘Best School’ award at the prestigious Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Awards. Mike’s success at the school resulted in his appointment to the European exec team of the global education group, Cognita, where he oversaw the development of 12 independent schools as Director of Education (UK).

Mike also enjoyed success as Executive Principal at King’s College School Chengdu, a premium international school in China, and as Vice Principal at Brighton College Al Ain, leading its Senior School from its start-up phase to its standing as one of the most academically successful British curriculum schools in the Middle East.

He was recently named as a ‘Most Influential Educational Leader in 2022’ by Elite Education magazine.

Since graduating with a B.Ed. degree, Kate Jackson has amassed over 20 years of experience as a leading British educator. Prior to joining King’s, Kate worked in the United Kingdom as an Advanced Skills Teacher and a Director of Learning and Assessment at a large academy school, working to improve the delivery of the curriculum and academic outcomes for pupils across the Northeast of England. She has also worked in schools in Australia and elsewhere in Doha.

Kate is a passionate advocate of evidence-based pedagogical research and recently authored a unique teaching and learning model, the King’s Tapestry, which draws upon cutting-edge developments in teaching and learning, and is now at the heart of our classroom approach at King’s College Doha.
