Dean Sri R. Janardhanan (RJ Master) son of Smt. Kaligi Ammal and Shri A.R.Ranganathan Chettiar has been forced to start a first ever school by the neighbouring parents who believes in his disciplined quality teaching. He is a renowned and dedicated teacher of Mathematics for over 55 years.

The name Montford was christened in memory of two great Yeomen statesmen- Simon de Montford, an English soldier known for his strict discipline and good conduct in the English Army and also Saint Louis Marie De Montford, a world renowned educationist who was the first in the world to render an all-round education for the total development of the young.

The School is run by Kaligi Ranganathan JJ Educational Trust.

Activities of the Trust are Educational, Health Care, Orphanages, Old Age Homes, Special Schools for Disabled Special Need Children and for other Charitable Purpose.

Delighted to share our pleasure that we are placed 7th position in the city by IMRB survey of Times India among the new era schools and this is booster for us to realize our potential and to stretch ourselves further. Our value focused academic practices are helping our children to shape themselves to meet the growing challenges of the world.

Foreseeing the technical advancement of the world we are equipping them with latest technologies too. We believe in the learners responsibility, which is essential for the better learning process, whereas teachers here are scaffolding them towards their achievement. Our children are more inquisitive and exploring, if they are channelized they will do greater things. Mere knowledge transformation is not only completing the role of a contemporary teacher.
 

Ample number of sociological, emotional challenges are awaiting for the children in the society to deal with Growing cosmopolitan settlements which expects more flexibility, adjustments and compromises in the social process. Inhumane practices are spreading across the world since the faith in the moral values are degrading. Our basic values of tolerance and patience with perseverance need to be reinstated in the tender minds.

Eventually the children has to leave the school as a complete human being with all the skills required for the 21st century. Considering all these things we are designing a progressive curriculum which is more accommodative to meet all the challenges positively. Since we ensure freedom for the children to think, their confident level is also raising. As per our vision we are working to produce physically, mentally and socially vibrant citizens who are with commitments to the development of a strong nation.
