St. Paul's Institute is a recognised Christian Minority, co-educational institution established in 1986 with a view to promote and uplift the living conditions of the people of tribal area in Manipur by providing proper and quality education to the younger generations irrespective of caste, creed or religion. It is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi from 2006. Prior to its affiliation to CBSE, the Institute was recognised by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur
St. Paul’s Institute endeavours to provide holistic education with an aim to develop the whole personality of the child, physically, intellectually, morally and spiritually. The Institute emphasizes a good knowledge of English, Mathematics, Sciences and Social Sciences apart from moral, character and behaviour teachings. It provides teachings in Sciences, Mathematics and Social Sciences with Students’ Activity Assessments, together with teaching of theory in each subjects so that the students could have a clear understanding of the subjects taught. The Institute also conducts physical sports like futsal, basketball, handball, throwball, and literary competitions like debate, speech, group discussion, quiz, music, singing etc. on every Friday of the week throughout the year to impart holistic education to the students. Moreover, it has an Annual Competitions Week where students compete in various arts and sports over a period of one week.
From 2011, St. Paul’s Institute is given the status of a senior secondary school as it is upgraded by CBSE to run classes till Class XII. The first batch of Class XI starts from 2011. Classes are run in the 4 storey building which also houses the auditorium with a seating capacity of 250 equipped with a projector and sound system. The Administrative Office, Manager's Chamber, Principal's Chamber and Faculty Lounge are located on the ground floor of the same building.
