Stepping Stones Education Society, a government-registered organisation, was set up in April 1984 and dedicated to providing children with an environment rich with opportunities for their mental, social, physical, and emotional growth. Stepping Stones School aspires to stand out among the best schools in the region. A humble beginning was made in Chandigarh when a preparatory school was opened in April 1984. 

The education system today is undergoing a rapid change. The education laws are changing, as are the policies and roles of teachers, students, and parents. All are in a dilemma and need a strong and sturdy hand to carry them through. It is, therefore, extremely important for schools today to define themselves. The digital library is also a step towards a better means of knowledge for the self-learning process.
